The Peanut Dissector

The laparoscopic Peanut Dissector is a unique instrument with a 100% cotton-gauze blunt tip used for gentle dissecting, probing, or retracting tissue. The peanut tips are wrapped in 7 layers of gauze using a patented manufacturing process, and one Peanut Dissector can last for an entire surgery. It is a simple, efficient, cost-effective, and a user-friendly instrument.

It is available either as one totally disposable piece, consisting of an aluminum shaft and attached 100% cotton gauze tip, or as a more environmentally friendly two-piece system, consisting of a sturdy, reusable stainless steel shaft, and disposable 100% cotton gauze tip.

All Peanut Dissectors dissectors are available in either 5mm or 10mm diameters.

• Blunt dissection of tissues
• Gentle retraction of organs or tissues
• Atraumatic manipulation of tissues and/or organs
• Lysis of adhesions

• The disposable laparoscopic Peanut Dissector and disposable Peanut Dissector tips are packaged sterile and ready for use.
• The Reusable Peanut Dissector Handle is packaged non-sterile and must be sterilized before each use.
